Settlements and claims
Litigations whose status changed from “active lawsuit” to something a claimant needs to act on differently: a settlement program with a registration or claims process, or a dismissal that closed the door for most people. Each entry links to its record with sources. Claims are filed with the court-appointed administrator, whose site we link; this site never hosts a claim form and never takes a claim.
Settled, or claims in progress
Bard hernia mesh lawsuit
BD/Bard settled most of the hernia mesh litigation in October 2024; the federal MDL remains open with 23,316 actions pending as claims move through a settlement claims process.
Proton pump inhibitor (PPI) kidney injury lawsuit
Largest defendant AstraZeneca settled in October 2023; MDL 2789 remains open in D.N.J. with 11,404 actions pending as of the JPML's September 1, 2026 report, up 83 from the prior month.
Paraquat lawsuit
Not an active trial docket. A settlement framework was signed August 4, 2025; the court approved a Qualified Settlement Fund in March 2026 and is now pressing plaintiffs who have not signed on to decide.
Camp Lejeune water contamination lawsuit
The filing window is closed. The two-year deadline to bring a Camp Lejeune Justice Act claim expired on August 10, 2024, and cannot be reopened by a court.

AT&T data breach lawsuit
Combined class settlement over two AT&T data breaches: $149 million and $28 million in non-reversionary funds. The claim window closed December 18, 2025 and the final approval hearing was held January 15, 2026, but as of September 10, 2026 the court has still not ruled, so no payout date exists.

Kia and Hyundai vehicle theft settlement
Approved but not effective. Final approval was granted on October 1, 2024; appeals followed, and the administrator states settlement payments cannot be made until those appeals are resolved. Payment issuance is listed as TBD.

Blue Cross Blue Shield antitrust settlement
Both settlements are approved and closed to new claims. Subscriber payments began going out from May 11, 2026; provider claims have been in rolling review since February 16, 2026.

Facebook user privacy settlement
Approved, final, and paying out in rounds. The initial distribution is complete and the court approved a second distribution on May 6, 2026; claims closed on August 25, 2023 and cannot be reopened.

Mostly dismissed or closed
Litigations where court rulings have ended or sharply narrowed the path for new claims. Listed so that an ad promising otherwise can be checked against the record.
Zantac lawsuit
Federal claims were dismissed in December 2022 and GSK settled about 80,000 state-court claims in October 2024 without admitting liability; for most people who took Zantac, the legal door is closed or nearly closed.
